ACL-Laser ® semiconductor laser-technology retrofit kit
After having taken more than seven years to get up and running, the silverless 35mm sound film copy - also called ''cyan dye print'' in technical jargon - has become a reality.
In addition to the fact that 65% (and the figure is rising) of manufactured sound film prints worldwide are now silverless, major changes have also been made to optical sound track.
Here, the approach adopted by our products is evident as the optical sound track procedure for ''cyan dye copies'' requires a visible 650nm red light source in order to scan the analogue film sound.
The reason for this requirement is in the colouring and in the contrast of the dye track. For accurate red light scanning with a wavelength of 650nm, we basically use a laser diode with application-specific drive electronics and optical elements surrounded by a tube.
Most of our applications are complete systems which include a high-performance sound lens.
The entire system is built into a pre-adjusted support, suitable for the respective type of sound device.
The reasons for considering the development of various supports for the individual 35mm projectors in operation, produced by a whole array of manufacturers, was the realisation that an above average amount of many older 35mm film projector brands are still in use and are also likely to remain so for some time yet. We have endeavoured to ensure that the applications which we have developed (see list on page ...) can be subsequently installed into existing projectors quickly and inexpensively. The development of all sorts of applications at the present time are23 different types which we market worldwide has proved to be justification of our considerations. Our customers are in Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia, Belarus, Austria, Croatia, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain, Lebanon, Australia, New Zealand as well as North and South America.
